Superfast IT, a leading IT support company, is proud to announce its donation of an Xbox, flight simulator software, and a comprehensive control system to the Stourbridge Air Training Corps Squadron. This generous contribution will offer cadets an immersive flight simulation experience, merging modern technology with essential aviation training components.
Managing Director of Superfast IT, James Cash, remarked on the project: "By providing the Stourbridge Squadron with this flight simulation setup, we aim to foster passion and elevate the aviation training experience for these dedicated young individuals."
This state-of-the-art system will enable cadets to simulate diverse flight scenarios, helping them gain familiarity with basic aircraft controls in a controlled, risk-free environment. It marks a step forward in employing contemporary technology for instructional purposes.
Flying Officer Geoff Land RAFAC, the Officer Commanding the squadron, shared his enthusiasm, stating: "The donation of this flight simulator has really enhanced the cadets' experience to undertake valuable training and then consolidating those skills with both simulated and real flights. It's further enabled the cadets to access the technology they may otherwise not be able to and ensured they all have certain opportunities and experiences within the RAF Air Cadets. We are truly grateful for such a generous donation."
Superfast IT's donation showcases its commitment to harnessing the latest technology and benefitting the community. Both Superfast IT and the Stourbridge Air Training Corps Squadron are optimistic about the avenues this system will open for the cadets.
The Air Training Corps (ATC) is a national voluntary youth organisation designed to develop the qualities of young people. Affiliated with the Royal Air Force, the ATC provides invaluable experiences, instilling discipline, leadership, and a sense of responsibility. Through diverse activities, from flying and gliding to adventure training and community service, cadets are prepared not only for potential service in the RAF but also to become responsible citizens of the future. Their focus on character development, teamwork, and the spirit of adventure makes the ATC a premier organisation for youth in the UK.
