We are delighted to announce a new partnership with insurance brokers, Gravity Risk Services. The joint venture is aimed to improve cyber insurance policy holders’ cyber security and dramatically reduce instances of an insurance claim being rejected.
Dale Collett, managing director at Gravity Risk Services explained:
“As the number of cyber-attacks continues to rise across the country, so do the number of businesses seeking insurance protection to keep their business going in the event of an attack. But working with Superfast IT has shown us that insurance alone isn’t enough.
“Companies need to have secure IT systems in place to protect themselves or they make themselves vulnerable to doubts over whether or not they took reasonable steps to safeguard themselves in the first place. Through this partnership, our customers have the best protection, which helps to minimise the risk of insurance providers not paying out.”
Superfast IT managing director James Cash added:
“It is always better to try and prevent a cyber-attack or an insurance claim, which is where our expertise comes in.
"It goes without saying that firms need to stay ahead of the game when it comes to cyber security and IT or face severe disruption. Not only does this make good business sense in terms of a healthy place to grow but could also save companies money in the long run.”
Organisations should be aware of the responsibilities they must uphold for their cyber liability policy to pay out in the worst-case scenario. Any failure to meet insurance terms, may lead to the insurer not paying out.
This is why, as part of the partnership, Superfast IT is offering a complimentary cyber health assessment. The goal is to identify security gaps that could void cyber insurance.
Gravity Risk Services are an award-winning independent insurance broker based in Stourbridge. They have seen incredible growth and now help to protect around 1,200+ clients' businesses through their mantra of giving “down-to-earth insurance advice”.
In their own words, they have no desire to be the biggest broker, just the best. Gravity Risk Services has grown quickly to become a leading independent regional insurance broker.
Cyber insurance helps to manage cyber risk. We recommend that all organisations have both cyber security and cyber insurance. A bit like managing risk for a property, cyber security prevents the likelihood of a cyber incident - much like a fire alarm to prevent a fire - while cyber insurance policies cover damages caused by hacking attempts, malware infections, phishing scams, loss of data, and other similar incidents.
